My Handmade Holiday

Posted by on December 9, 2008

letterpress cards So I’m starting my list and I’m checking it twice. It’s holiday time and as always I’m going to have me a handmade holiday.

Call it a sickness, call it what you will, but I will be making most, if not all of my gifts this year. Just like every year. The ones that I don’t create myself, I hope to purchase other handmade items, made by other crafters that are amazing at what they do.

I have a good idea about what I want to make everyone and or get for everyone. I think that half the fun of the whole gift giving thing is figuring out the perfect present for each individual person.

First up my step-niece and nephew. I’m pretty sure my nephew is going to be getting this pretty sweet pirate chest. It has a secret compartment for hiding all that awesome loot.

As far as my niece, I’m thinking of doing a t-shirt iron on. Something about the Twilight series I believe would be appropriate.

I’ll keep you all updated to my progress, while trying to keep some of the gifts secret for those looky-loos who might frequent my musings.

Craft Fair Success!

Craft DisplayCraft Mutiny’s Holiday Booty Market was a great success. Even though it was cold out and at one point flurries were seen in the air, it was warm and welcoming on the inside of the gift shop at 5 Thomas Circle. Everyone was in a wonderful mood and many found the perfect gift for their sister, niece, friend and co-worker.

A big thank you goes to everyone at Craft Mutiny for organizing and putting on the show. And thank you to all my friends that stopped by to chat, say hi and buy handmade goodness from all the amazing vendors. You’re support is greatly appreciated and never ceases to amaze me. Thank you.

To the shoppers who were looking for that certain something that was sold out — I plan on having things up in my Etsy shop very soon, so stay tuned.
