Recently the Supreme Court ruled against the District of Columbia’s handgun ban in District of Columbia v. Heller, stating that the District’s ban was unconstitutional.
The city then put forth regulatory provisions regarding the now unbanned guns, outlining their use, how and where they could be obtained, and how they should be stored.
Mr. Heller has since issued another suit against the city arguing that a number of the provisions are “onerous” and unreasonable. Many, along with Heller, agree that the restrictions on keeping guns unloaded and locked away inside the home are unreasonable restrictions and still further impede one’s constitutional rights.
This got me to thinking about the sad and lonely guns that need to be locked away in the owners home. I pictured them shivering in the cold and darkness of a safe, feeling melancholy because of their segregation from the rest of the house, through no fault of their own.
To remedy this, I have created gun cozies. I figured sweaters help me feel warm and loved when I’m cold and distraught, so why not guns? I clearly don’t own a real gun, so the best thing for our purposes are squirt guns!

They come in a plethora of colors and I think will do the trick and put people’s fears to rest. I mean what’s so scary about a gun in a nice cuddly cozy?
