Gun Club Wednesday

Posted by on July 29, 2009

Welcome to the Gun Club. Each Wednesday I hope to provide you with a taste of gun imagery found in the handmade community. Enjoy the irony!

Demoralizer gun

I have been stalking RiverWraith’s shop for a while now. With a wonderful selection of altered guns, you can not go wrong, and I’ve been secretly coveting this beauty. The Demoralizer is sure to put a spring in your step and install fear in the hearts of your enemies.

Join me in the labs

Etsy logo This Thursday, join me in the Etsy Virtual Labs as I talk about shopping green on Etsy!

In conjunction with my Guest Curatorial post on the Storque, I will be sidling up to my computer to share some awesome Etsy finds that are both amazing and green to boot.

As lead writer of Crafting a Green World I have met some wonderful people making beautiful and eco-friendly wares. I hope to highlight more of these eco-crafters and how to tread lighter on the Earth.

So tune in on Thursday March 26 at 6 p.m. 7 pm EST.

Busy as a Bee

Beehives

I’ve been away from this space, being busy in others. Check out what I’ve been up too!

>> Most recently I was a Guest Curator over at Etsy for Crafting a Green World. It was much fun highlighting the great green creations that these crafters make. Ha! Say that five times fast.

>> I also got a sneak peek at the new Maya Lin exhibit, now open at the Corcoran. You can read my review over at DCist.

>> I’ve also been organizing and planning and emailing, going into the home stretch for Hello Craft’s Summit of Awesome.

Craft Fair Success!

Craft DisplayCraft Mutiny’s Holiday Booty Market was a great success. Even though it was cold out and at one point flurries were seen in the air, it was warm and welcoming on the inside of the gift shop at 5 Thomas Circle. Everyone was in a wonderful mood and many found the perfect gift for their sister, niece, friend and co-worker.

A big thank you goes to everyone at Craft Mutiny for organizing and putting on the show. And thank you to all my friends that stopped by to chat, say hi and buy handmade goodness from all the amazing vendors. You’re support is greatly appreciated and never ceases to amaze me. Thank you.

To the shoppers who were looking for that certain something that was sold out — I plan on having things up in my Etsy shop very soon, so stay tuned.
