Wednesday night join me in the age old discussion of what is art and what is craft.
As part of the craftapalooza that is CraftWeek DC, the Washington Project for the Arts has put together a panel discussion on the dividing line that is art and craft, (or is there one?) called Tug of War.
Curator and critic, Jeffry Cudlin will moderate a panel consisting of one artist, one crafter (that’s me) and two gallery directors. Each will give their thoughts on where the line is drawn between the two terms, and the discussion will open up to the audience.
When all is said and done, panelists and audience members will be invited to participate in the Art vs. Craft tug of war! Pick the side that speaks to you and tug, tug, tug!
